• Prior to sending a file, we HIGHLY recommend that you print laser separations of your file. This will catch any separation or printing problems prior to going to film. For more troubleshooting informationa checklist is available to download from our website. 


  • Laser separations and a completed Print Order Form and a Film Output Form should be provided with every job. These forms can be downloaded from our website, or an Online Form may be completed. You may fax the form and laser prints to us at (360) 456-4590. Jobs that do not include laser prints are output at your own risk. A form is always required. If you are unable to fax the form or fill it out online, you may include all the form information in your email or file upload. 


  • With your file, include any fonts and linked images. We cannot print the files if linked images are not included. We carry many Adobe fonts, but because many fonts with the same names can vary slightly, you should always include fonts. If we are required to supply the font (and we have it), we are not responsible for text wrap changes or line shifting caused by the substitution. Truetype fonts include one part, but Type one fonts should include two parts, the screen and printer fonts. 


  • Place all graphics, fonts, and files in one folder and label appropriately. Compress your file using Stuffit or WinZip. (Click here if you need this software.) Fonts sent electronically will usually corrupt if they are not compressed. It is helpful to use the company name or the name on your business card as your file or folder name (eg. JonDoe.zip, ApexCarpets.sit, etc.). Make sure your order form has the same file name(s) as the file(s) you will upload using the ABC Printing upload page. 


  • If the size of the file is larger than 30 MB it can be helpful to break the file into smaller pieces. Label them with consecutive numbers (JonDoe1.zip, JaneDoe2.zip, etc.) Our File Upload Site has a maximum capacity of 80MB. If your file is larger than that it will have to be sent in several sessions or sent to us via disk.

Compression Software are needed to upload to our site. If you do not already have the necessary applications, we have provided downloading links to several applications that are either freeware or shareware as indicated. For more detailed instructions, see our uploading instructions.

File Compression Software - All files that are uploaded (with the exception of PDFs) should be compressed first. This not only allows the file to upload faster but prevents them from being corrupted. Files, links and fonts should be compressed into one archive.
